The Healthy Food Hub is growing bigger and better every day.  We need your help to continue the process.  The following are volunteer positions we are needing to immediately fill.  Please download a copy of the form from the link directly below or at the bottom of the page.  Simply fill out the form online (click on the line and you will see a cursor) and then click the "Submit By Email" button on the top right corner to submit your form.

Pre-Market Day Set up (Friday 5-7pm)

Volunteers Needed: 4

 

Duties:  Unload and set up dry goods, gather inventory for dry goods, set up tables for market, assemble bags and boxes for bagging stations, weigh and packaging dry goods

 

Market Day Shift 1  (8:00 am to 10:30 am)

 

Weigh Station Manager

  • Weigh all produce when necessary
  • Keep inventory of all weighed goods
  • Complete and display price card next to all items in station
  • Help to assemble pre-ordered purchases
  • Be either runner* or bagger** (details below) for pre-ordered purchases

 

Organic Station Manager

  • Stock organic station area neatly (with bag under and around container with ice to collect the water)
  • Complete and display price card next to all items in station
  • Gather inventory of organic station area
  • Help to assemble pre-ordered purchases
  • Be either runner* or bagger** (details below) for pre-ordered purchases

 

Affordable Station Manager

  • Stock affordable station area neatly (with bag under and around containers with ice to collect the water)
  • Complete and display price card next to all items in station
  • Gather inventory of affordable station area
  • Help to assemble pre-ordered purchases
  • Be either runner* or bagger** (details below) for pre-ordered purchases

 

Dry Goods Station Manager

  • Stock dry goods station area neatly
  • Complete and display price card next to all items in station
  • Gather inventory of affordable station area (if not done previous night)
  • Help to assemble pre-ordered purchases
  • Be either runner* or bagger** (details below) for pre-ordered purchases

 

*Runner

  • Take orders for all items in pre-purchased orders (including weighed items first)

 

**Bagger

  • Bag pre-order purchases
  • Check all bags against order forms (for quality assurance)
  • Place bagged purchases in designated pre-order area

 

Market Day Shift 2  (10:30 am to 1:00 pm)

 

Weigh Station Manager

  • Weigh all produce when necessary
  • Ensure weigh station area is re-stocked when necessary
  • Answer any questions about affordable goods, when possible

 

Organic Station Manager

  • Ensure organic station is re-stocked when necessary
  • Answer any questions about organic goods, when possible

 

Affordable Station Manager

  • Ensure affordable station is re-stocked when necessary
  • Answer any questions about affordable goods, when possible

 

Dry Goods Station Manager

  • Ensure dry goods station is re-stocked when necessary
  • Answer any questions about dry goods, when possible

 

Bagger

  • Stationed at bagging station
  • Check all bags against order forms (for quality assurance)

 

Manager of Pre-order/Pre-pay Purchases

  • Maintain list of pre-orders and pick ups
  • Double check items for quality assurance
  • Walk member through items purchased and items not available
  • Issue credit memo (for items not available)

 

Market Day Shift 3 (1:00 pm to 3:30 pm)

 

Organic Station Closing Manager

  • Take inventory of all goods remaining in organic section of market and report final count to tabulator
  • Help to break down organic station

 

Affordable Station Closing Manager

  • Take inventory of all goods remaining in affordable section of market and report final count to tabulator
  • Help to break down affordable station area

 

 Dry Goods Station Closing Manager

  • Take inventory of all goods remaining in dry goods section of market and report final count to tabulator
  • Help to break down dry goods station area

 

Closing Bagger

  • Stationed at bagging station
  • Check all bags against order forms (for quality assurance)
  • Help to break down all remaining areas of market

 

Closing Manager of Pre-orders

  • Maintain list of pre-orders and pick ups
  • Double check items for quality assurance
  • Walk member through items purchased and items not available
  • Help to break down all remaining areas of market

  • Help to break down all remaining areas of market
